Hypertension, a.k.a High blood pressure is characterized by high pressure in the arteries. Symptoms of hypertension include headache, confusion, nausea, and vomiting. Chronic hypertension can lead to kidney failure, brain or neurological damage, and an enlarged heart.

Encephalopathy

Encephalopathy is brain disease or damage and some symptoms are memory loss, personality changes, dementia, seizures, and/or coma. There are various causes of encephalopathy, such as, kidney failure, alcohol consumption, infections, anoxia, and brain tumors.

Ascites

Ascites is the accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity usually caused by advanced liver disease or cirrhosis. Diagnosis of the cause can usually be found in blood tests, ultrasound scan of the abdomen, and direct removal of the fluid by needle. Some symptoms of ascites are heaviness and pressure in the abdomen, and shortness of breath.
