Metabolic Syndrome a combination of medical disorders which increases the risk of developing cardiovascular disease and diabetes. The main features are resistance to insulin, high blood pressure, increased risk for blood clotting, and abnormalities in cholesterol.  Both genetics and the environment are important in the development of metabolic syndrome. Some forms of treatment include diet changes, exercise, and cosmetic surgery.

Hypoglycemia is the result of low blood sugar levels. Symptoms include nervousness, palpitations, weakness, trembling, and sweating. Treatment of Hypoglycemia involves quickly raising the blood sugar to normal.

Hyperglycemia, also known as, high blood glucose, is developed when the sugar levels in the blood is too high. Symptoms include increased thirst, headaches, decreased vision, fatigue, frequent urination, and/or difficulty concentrating. Some forms of treatment for Hyperglycemia include drinking more water, increase in exercise, diet changes, and changes in medication.

Diabetes Mellitus a.k.a Diabetes is a chronic condition where the body does not produce enough and/or does not properly respond to insulin. Common signs and symptoms of diabetes are frequent urination and increased thirst. Other symptoms include weight loss and mental fatigue. Diabetes is difficult to cure and it is a very important role for patient education, dietetic support, sensible exercise, and self monitoring of blood glucose.
