Appendicitis is the inflammation of the appendix. Symptoms include pain, loss of appetite, fever, diarrhea, frequent urination, and nausea. Diagnoses of appendicitis are checking white blood count, abdominal x-ray, ultrasound, and Barium Enema. Treatment includes surgery in order to remove the inflamed appendix.

Anal Fissure

Anal Fissure is a common condition of the anus that is a tear or cut in the anus. Trauma to the anus and the anus canal are the cause for anal fissures, for example, hard stool or repeated episodes of diarrhea. Symptoms include anal pain and constipation. Treatment for anal fissures include a high fiber diet, anesthetics, steroids, and calcium channel blocking drugs.

Achalasia

Achalasia is a rare disease of the esophagus muscle. Symptoms include difficulty swallowing, heavy chest sensation, pain, regurgitation, and/or choking. Treatment for Achalasia include oral medications, dilation, esophagomyotomy, and botulinum toxin.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm is defined as a localized ballooning of the abdominal aorta(exceeding the normal diameter by more than 50 percent). Usually there are no associated symptoms and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm is not discovered until ultrasounds or a CT scan is produced. If an abdominal aneurysm ruptures it will cause back and abdominal pain and/or shock.
