Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. The causes or risks of this cancer are more commonly family history and radiation. Some symptoms of Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia include fever, bone or joint pain, loss of appetite, painless lumps(in the neck, underarm, stomach, or groin), easy bruising or bleeding, and fatigue.

Cervical Dysplasia

Cervical Dysplasia is the presence of precancerous changes of the cells that make up the inner lining of the cervix. It is caused by infection of the cervix with HPV (Human Papillomavirus). There are generally no symptoms associated so it is important for early diagnoses and treatment. The PAP test is usually the screening method that is used.

Cervical Cancer is the neoplasm of the cervix uteri/cervical area. It is a malignant cancer that may not have any symptoms until the cancer is at an advanced stage. Symptoms would then include abnormal vaginal bleeding, bleeding after sexual intercourse, bleeding after menopause, and pelvic pain.

Appendicitis is the inflammation of the appendix. Symptoms include pain, loss of appetite, fever, diarrhea, frequent urination, and nausea. Diagnoses of appendicitis are checking white blood count, abdominal x-ray, ultrasound, and Barium Enema. Treatment includes surgery in order to remove the inflamed appendix.

Trauma to the anus and the anus canal are the cause for anal fissures, for example, hard stool or repeated episodes of diarrhea. Symptoms include anal pain and constipation. Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm is defined as a localized ballooning of the abdominal aorta(exceeding the normal diameter by more than 50 percent). Usually there are no associated symptoms and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm is not discovered until ultrasounds or a CT scan is produced. If an abdominal aneurysm ruptures it will cause back and abdominal pain and/or shock.

The main features are resistance to insulin, high blood pressure, increased risk for blood clotting, and abnormalities in cholesterol.  Both genetics and the environment are important in the development of metabolic syndrome. Some forms of treatment include diet changes, exercise, and cosmetic surgery.
