Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a condition where the median nerve is compressed at the wrist. Symptoms include numbness and tingling of the hand, burning sensation, and/or cramping in the hand. Shooting pains can also be felt in the forearm occasionally. Treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome depends on the severity of the case. Some examples are rest, immobolization of the wrist, stretching exercises, and medications.
